Well, I finally got to spend some money on something for the Z that wasn’t related to just bringing it back to workable condition, an actual ‘upgrade’ if you will.  A while back I was having a tough time deciding what kind of wheels I wanted to eventually put on my Z but then by chance ran across photos of this guys Z:  http://www.nissanzsite.com/2010/07/16/nissan-300zx-upgrades-and-modifications/300zx-g35-base-17-wheels/ that helped me make my decision.  Anyway, back to the point of this post, I purchased a set of the 17″ G35 staggered coupe wheels the other day and they should be on the way shortly!  I had been shopping off and on since I got the car for a set of these wheels, preferably with decent tires already mounted but never could find any cheap enough or close enough to where I could pick them up and shipping was always adding $200 or so to the price.  I was Googling for this set up the other day and ended up getting redirected to eBay where I found a clearance sale on a set that included 4 Bridgestone Potenza tires with about 80% of their life left.  The kicker on this is that they were just $587 and that included Free shipping.  I couldn’t pass up that deal.  I look forward to getting the set here and getting them on the Z to see if it gives an updated look to an already timeless design.
